I wrote them a note to ask when the new shop will open in the Carr Mill Mall. The response:

Hi All..
My name is Todd Doros..I've lived in Durham for the past 3 years. I'm the guy that opened up the Rita's in the Carr Mill Mall. I come from a town near Philadelphia (New Hope. Pa.) that is very similar to what we have here in Carrboro. I'd just like to say that Rita's may have grown into a franchising company over the past few years...but Rita's is still about Fun, Friendly folks,and a great...very affordable product.
My Partner and I are very involved in the community...specifically pediatric cancer with our relationship with Alex's Lemonade Stand. We look forward to becoming a town favorite..not only for our fantastic Italian ices, but for the work we plan to do to make ourselves a vital part of the city.
